Cattle Auction Lots
Simmental
Ligon Simmentals – Jim and Gail Ligon – An outstanding SimAngus bull born September 2023, sired by JL Maximum Confidence and out of a Quantum Leap daughter. Thick, meaty, correct and extremely docile. A true herdsire prospect ready to go to work.
Martin Farms – Neil and Chris Martin – A May 2024 purebred show heifer prospect with a great genetic profile (#4361073). Her API, CE, MCE, stay, doc, marb EPDs are in the top 5% of the breed with an API index of 186! A Hook’s Beacon granddaughter out of a TJ Gold dam. A show heifer and a donor cow prospect!
Hereford
Woolfolk Farms – Woolfolk Farms' donation to the BEEFoundation Auction is 10 units of semen on either Deluxe or Wild Card. Both of these bulls carry tremendous EPD profiles and compliment that with excellent phenotypes. They are good options to improve fertility and udder quality in many herds as well as improve carcass quality for anyone feeding or processing baldy steers.
Chapman Land & Cattle – Ryan and Betsy Chapman – Offering a $2000 credit on any bull that sells in their February 22, 2025, bull sale.
Cunningham Herefords – Larry Cunningham – Offering a pregnancy that is a result of mating Churchill Smokey 3128 L (#P44462190) x Churchill Lady 3352 L ET (#44586475). Pregnancy is due September 2025. Lady is a horned full Line One breeding with great EPDs and Smokey combines great EPDs and correct phenotype in a polled package.
Angus
Deer Valley Farm – Jonathan Perry – Offering 4 embryos from the mating of GAR Powercat (#20665222) x Deer Valley Rita 2426. Powercat’s EPDs are fantastic with a CED in the top 3% and a YW EPD in the top 10% of the breed and a $B and $C in the top 1% of the breed. Combine this with the looks of Rita 2426 and the resulting calf should be outstanding.
BoPat Farms – Larry Patterson and Patterson Freeman – Offering 2 embryos from mating T/D Doc Ryan 049 (#P9820224) x Yon Witch C510 (#18150546). Doc Ryan adds lots of growth and performance with WW, YW, $F, $B, $W and $C EPDs in the top 3% of the breed and the Yon Witch cow family brings calving ease and low birth weight. In fact, she is the dam of the 2nd and 3rd high selling bulls in the Fall 2024 BoPat bull sale at $9500 each.
Spring Oak Farm – Richard and Kristen Brown – Offering the pick of their fall born heifers (Sept – Oct 2024). The 10-11 heifers would be sired by S Architect (#19437622), Yon Top Cut (#19476453) and SS Niagara (#17287387). These heifers will be functional females with good numbers and a look to excel in the showring. The pick to be made by May 15, 2025.
Harrogate Genetics – Dr. Sam Edwards, is offering one free flush which includes the flush, implanting fresh embryos and/or freezing the resulting eggs. Drugs needed and trip charge is extra.
